Tarun Tahiliani

Tarun Tahiliani just did an awesome fashion show in Hyderabad and this is what it looks like, though we all know Tarun for his aesthetic sense and visual appeal. He has mastered the art of contemporary dressing with Indian traditional style. He has been the forerunner in getting Indian designs recognized in the world.

There is not too much that I can say about this wedding lehanga, I simply adore it. The colors make it look so appropriate for an Indian wedding.
rating - 9/10

Saffron and multi colored top with orange lehanga, a style statement for a fashion show but not a real time wedding.
rating- 7/10

I love the work on this sari, though I find it little heavy if a petite person like me will have to carry it but it is just so awesome. I would love to dress in something like this.
rating - 9.5/10

This is the line up of the models wearing sari for this fashion show, personally I have loved these designs and you should keep checking the happenings of the fashion world.

here is to what he made

The only hitch in these styles are the shoes but never have I put so many pictures of any fashion show.

PCJ DELHI COUTURE WEEK 2013 - MANISH ARORA

His is the most eccentric collection that I see with bold use of colors and patterns, I have never seen something more different and creative in clothes as Manish Arora's style. I can't recommend on how many people are going to buy these but I would say he has a long way to go in the industry. See the kind of ambiance he has created.

I really like the green and pink lehanga if paired with a pink or a blue dupatta can make it perfect for a wedding attire.

Cover it with red dupatta and endorse it to any ocassion you like, and you will be the talk of the town. This colors complements Indian skin very well.

IIJW - 2

After yesterday's post on IIJW I want to share a few jewellery looks on western outfits and trendy dresses, we can't just stick to traditional Indian clothes but also we have to look at the other side of the mirror and her are my picks for the jewellery to be worn with western dresses.

This flower shaped neck piece studded with diamonds in platinum can be a very good choice for a bride to be who wants to invest in a classy jewel yet maintain its style with all the kind of clothes she wears.

rating- 8/10

A pair of earrings can say it all, with some clothes you don't even need to highlight your neckline, once you are done with the heavy earrings, you are just sorted.

rating - 8/10

Another very classy look with a red bridal outfit and silver jewellery, we usually pair up gold with red but here I see how well silver, pearl and diamond is used to make her look divine.

IIJW AUGUST 2013 -1

IIJW was held a few days ago in Mumbai. I have my favorites from the event, since it was not a clothes event my focus is totally on the jewelry and the kind of costumes or themes its paired up with.
I personally would like to own them all and get them sparkling on my body, have a look and decide for yourself.

I love how these jewels are placed against red clothes which makes it looks bridal and still not over the top. I love the use of the Mang tika to enhance the look and make cover a wide forehead easily.

Rating - 9/10

These tele actresses show a very regular line of clothes and jewellery which can be endorsed by any woman in her day to day outings. I think they have the most usable pieces of jewellery

rating - 7/10

Another look that has style, class and fashion. I loved the ensemble for its work and colors and then the jewellery which is so traditional yet modern at the same time.

rating - 8/10

DELHI COUTURE WEEK 2013

Delhi Couture week was indeed an experience to see for all the style loving people, there is ample amount of newness and creativity in every ensemble that you see. I have made a collection of my best picks from the Delhi Couture week and here it is.

I love the beige and grey combination and also the bride and groom style. I always feel it is a wonderful idea for couples to wear complementing clothes I feel it can just add to the whole flavor of the wedding or the function even at other small gatherings it just makes them stand apart and stand close.

rating - 8/10

I dont really find this outfit very great but then I like the colors used and how bright they are, even with a lesser amount of embroidery and gold it still looks very much like a party wear.

rating - 7/10

Ritu Beri can never fail to amuse me, the gold and blue makes any woman look the best. As a matter of fact I feel this color goes very well with the Indian skin I like the flow of the skirt.

rating - 8/10

Just because these clothes are a visual treat!

THE WEDDING ETIQUETTE

Many girls today are wanting to learn the wedding etiquette which is an essential part of the post wedding happening especially if you are into an arranged marriage.

Just keep in mind a few things that whenever you are ready for the D day

  • Learn to say OKAY
Even when you don't like something instead of saying no, learn to say Okay and you can end up not doing it but be goodie good on the face

  • Sharpen your memory
Know thy people, know people and meet them with a smile

  • Smile
Even when you hate this world and everything around wear a smile.

  • Be true to yourself
Behave well but do not forget your individuality you have to be there for the rest of your life

  • Put your foot down
When you don't like something just put your foot down and do not agree you might regret this now but it will help you greatly in the long run.

Trust yourself and just create an impression that people won't forget for the rest of their lives!

I love this pink but personally I would not settle for colors that are so light but somehow she has managed to capture my eyes

Rating - 8/10

I like such wedding colors orange and red, the best part is the blue thin border that she has put which has added to the getup of this outfit.

Rating - 9/10

WEDDING HAIR

This season lets try something different off your hair, you could try from a wide variety of classic buns and knots and the plaits or leave your hair open.

These are my picks from what I liked

This hairstyle is for women who have long thick hair and want to try a different look at their weddings.

For any length of hair you could tie them into plaits and decorate to get the look.

The most classic and doable hair for your wedding, that makes you look stylish and Indian at the same time

SABYASACHI DESIGNS FOR RANI MUKHERJEE

Sabyasachi is one designer that I totally adore because of the way he plays with the Indian Garment - Saree. He picks from abstracts to prints to designs and everything and owning one of his designs tops my list for wedding shopping.

I like this self worked net in gold and and the thread border with it. I also like the color combination which is pink and gold. Her hoops totally complement the saree.

Rating - 7/10

I am a fan of Black and Gold combination and thats exactly what Sabyasachi has given me with outfit. Red blouse adds to the heat of her look

Rating - 7/10

I like the colors thats have used with multiple prints. The saree gets an X factor because of this random mix and match. I would love to experiment with this kind of an ensemble

SONAM KAPOOR - The Saree Woman

Of all the bollywood beauties I feel Sonam Kapoor is one body who can endorse saree very well. Her tall and broad structure complements the look of a Saree.
My favorite picks from her looks
I love this gold and black ensemble and how she has decked her up with heavy jewelry. What we get to see is a dress for a woman who doesn't want to show her body.
Rating - 8/10

A very English style and color. Totally for an urban woman who wants to create a statement with a saree. The drop shoulder blouse helps us to emphasise on the Jadau Jewelry.
Rating - 9/10

This is again a very English color very apt for a day or night party. The white pearl jewelry piece adds to whole look and you can use one of these pieces with different colors to add to your womanhood.
Rating - 9 / 10
