Style your Smell

It is that time of the year again when the air smells of the festivities. If you ask me I would say I can recognize the month of festivities with the beautiful fragrance. The new thing that I have added to my bunch of smells is www.godrejaer.com . It has a bunch of smells to choose from for your home and car.

I love to take control of the air I breathe in and the best would be by spreading the fragrance around. Every season has a distinct fragrance and for best results you should choose them according to the natural cycle. Here I have a few ideas for you-

If you start by the beginning of the year it is chilly and the air still smells of the festivities.  I love to style myself in dark and loud colors – black being the best choice for me. It begins with overcoats and sweaters to even my nail paints.  My pick from Godrej aer gang for winters is Musk.

As we move to the next season spring the air changes completely, it moves towards being warm and smells of flowers around. The newly grown flowers create a different mood altogether and I love to dress myself in bold pinks and mauves. So my choice from Godrej aer gang for spring smell is Rose and jasmine.

Going towards the mid of the year comes the summer season and we all know how it gets in summers. We kind of even hate it sometimes, at least I do. How much ever short clothes I get to wear, I don’t like the heat around. Moreover it gets so sticky and I like to be fresh all the time.  My favorite for summers from Godrej aer is cool blue.

Finally the rains come which we all desperately wait for. You can see the happiness around with the lush green meadows and flourishing greenery around. I can’t explain how much I love the smell of the rains around. I feel like a peacock and dance to the rain tunes. No brownie points for guessing my favorite from Godrej aer for rainy season is fresh green.

5 Hair cuts when you can color them RED

Red undoubtedly stands out everywhere you endorse it, I think it indeed is a great idea to color your hair red. Recently I have seen many women wearing it and they look stunning. With whatever look you have you can just pair it up.

Here are few of my favorite hairstyles where red color can make you look chic.

1. This is a wonderful way of making your hair red, you need minimal make-up and you are done for the night. It usually goes very well with fair complexions.

2 This is a very punk look that any student can endorse, it makes you look smart and hot at the same time. A little touch of kajal and eye liner will make it complete

3 You can even go totally red like this, it can give a make over to your look. Most people might fail to recognize you but then who cares about them?

4  This is Hotness personified, if you have bobs you should surely go in for such highlights or even hair color. It will make a completely different style statement.

5 This is another great idea to pep up your look and the uneven red locks you have. In my opinion this is the best highlight amongst all.

Black OOTD

It was my date so I had to make it look very simple yet look chic, it was an evening event that's why you won't see a lot of make up on my face. I have only done a little to enhance my eyes and just a pressed powder.

In this outfit I have tried to play with the accessory, with a monochrome dress you see there is a silver bright clutch that just brightens my dress.

To enhance and change my look for the evening I had put a red lipstick. A side hairdo

Wills Lifestyle Manish Malhotra

Manish Malhotra has been one of my favorites and today I have brought some collections from his kitty which are not very new but personally I have liked them all. This is from his collections in the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week.

I love this black and red sari the gold and red half border that makes it look so royal. At the same time it can be worn by a woman of any age.

A very new style of trendy lehanga, the top does the honors for your dress, it simply adds to the elegance of the look. The colors make it look so lively on her.

And he knows how to get attention by using such a simple color combination and using a heavy blouse he has made it look ramp worthy.

Keeping festive weight at Bay

Ganapati festival is starting tomorrow and I am sure all of you have lots of invitations like me, you might have to visit relatives, friends, fiends of friends and what not. You can't stay off the sweets and increasing an extra kilo is a real no for all of us so here are a few simple tips to fight it out.

• Water

Drink as much warm water as you can, especially empty stomached in the morning and just before going to sleep. It will help you cut on the extra fat that your body might have started to store

• Sweetless

Go sweetless at home, since already sweet intake has gone up because of the festival, cut down on your chocolates and biscuits.

• Wheatgrass

Try drinking natural wheat grass juice it will remove all the toxins that you have assimilated either through overeating or even with a change in sleeping pattern. You could even take ready made wheat grass juice

• Fruits

Make fruits your company for these few days, so that the energy level in your body does not go down even if the sugar level does. It will give you ample sugar and help your skin to glow

• Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera needs to be consumed to keep any skin issues at bay that might lead to making your skin oily or any kind of pimples that might attack you, keep taking Aloe Vera juice in small portions or you can rub the gel on your body to get a natural glow

DO THE NECK - NECK PIECES BY TRIBAL ZONE

I was randomly strolling at Pantaloons the other day and I went to jewellery section which apparently is my favorite. I love looking at the new collection and mostly end up buying something or the other. From the most common brands that they have Tribal Zone has been my favorite since quite some. I really liked some of their collections and I wanted to show them to you, unfortunately I could not take the pictures and i have not been able to get to all those I loved but I have found out a few of them.

This was my most favorite piece because it is trendy and ethnic at the same time

PCJ DELHI COUTURE WEEK 2013 - MANISH ARORA

His is the most eccentric collection that I see with bold use of colors and patterns, I have never seen something more different and creative in clothes as Manish Arora's style. I can't recommend on how many people are going to buy these but I would say he has a long way to go in the industry. See the kind of ambiance he has created.

I really like the green and pink lehanga if paired with a pink or a blue dupatta can make it perfect for a wedding attire.

rating - 8.5/10

Cover it with red dupatta and endorse it to any ocassion you like, and you will be the talk of the town. This colors complements Indian skin very well.

rating- 9/10

I like all these outfits but I think they will complement fair wheatish and fair complexion.

I love the work on the skirt and the colors used, it can make any girl look grand with some Rajasthani traditional jewellery

PCJ DELHI COUTURE WEEK 2013 - MASABA GUPTA

For somebody as new as her she has been able to carve a niche for herself and be as popular as can be, I personally love her style and the melange of her collections with equal ease. I am always in favor of designers who create clothes that are easier for people to wear, they don't have clothes only for the ramp and Masaba Gupta is surely one of them. The theme for this collection was Xray

My picks from PCJ Couture week

I like the yellow with gold jewellery and the flowy gown makes it look way more girly.

 This again has the femininity and class in itself, but for me I would have liked a more traditional heavy jewellery with this look

Red and black seem to be an eternal combination and that too with flowers, this is a great design for people with petite bodies to make them look larger.

I feel this is the best design and jewellery that they have created you can see everything complementing each other, the jewels just blend in with the dress

LAKME FASHION WEEK - VIKRAM PHADNIS

Lakme Fashion Week 2013 has some of the most awesome creations by great designers. Vikram Phadnis is surely one of them, his designs are grand and always have a sense of style in them in which even color or outfit.

ANARKALI SUITS in BOLLYWOOD

Needless to say Anarkali suit trend is one thing that has stayed for long, longer than people expected to be. I think probably because of the royal look it gives to a woman. It has the ease of a suit and the delicacy of a saree and it is one of my favorite trends this year.

Black and gold seems to be my eternal favorite and also of a few designers because I always find this combination easily everywhere. I like the way she has used red to break the monotone of black

This clearly shows that Aish may have been out of shape but she is definitely in style. I love this ensemble and the carrot color. Though it seems very dressy for an occassion but a bride can very well endorse it.
