PCJ DELHI COUTURE WEEK 2013 - MASABA GUPTA

For somebody as new as her she has been able to carve a niche for herself and be as popular as can be, I personally love her style and the melange of her collections with equal ease. I am always in favor of designers who create clothes that are easier for people to wear, they don't have clothes only for the ramp and Masaba Gupta is surely one of them. The theme for this collection was Xray

My picks from PCJ Couture week

I like the yellow with gold jewellery and the flowy gown makes it look way more girly.

rating - 8/10

This again has the femininity and class in itself, but for me I would have liked a more traditional heavy jewellery with this look

rating - 8/10

Red and black seem to be an eternal combination and that too with flowers, this is a great design for people with petite bodies to make them look larger.

rating - 8.5/10

I feel this is the best design and jewellery that they have created you can see everything complementing each other, the jewels just blend in with the dress

rating - 9/10

watch out for more on every show

THE WEDDING ETIQUETTE

Many girls today are wanting to learn the wedding etiquette which is an essential part of the post wedding happening especially if you are into an arranged marriage.

Just keep in mind a few things that whenever you are ready for the D day

  • Learn to say OKAY
Even when you don't like something instead of saying no, learn to say Okay and you can end up not doing it but be goodie good on the face

  • Sharpen your memory
Know thy people, know people and meet them with a smile

  • Smile
Even when you hate this world and everything around wear a smile.

  • Be true to yourself
Behave well but do not forget your individuality you have to be there for the rest of your life

  • Put your foot down
When you don't like something just put your foot down and do not agree you might regret this now but it will help you greatly in the long run.

Trust yourself and just create an impression that people won't forget for the rest of their lives!

LEHANGA BY ANITA DONGRE

The other day when I was reading about Wedding Fashion Designers I read about Anita Dongre's collection and I thought it would be best to get it for all of you here.
Every designer has his own style and sense of colors I found her choice of colors very different and soft yet classy. Here is what I have for you

I love this pink but personally I would not settle for colors that are so light but somehow she has managed to capture my eyes

I like such wedding colors orange and red, the best part is the blue thin border that she has put which has added to the getup of this outfit.

SABYASACHI DESIGNS FOR RANI MUKHERJEE

Sabyasachi is one designer that I totally adore because of the way he plays with the Indian Garment - Saree. He picks from abstracts to prints to designs and everything and owning one of his designs tops my list for wedding shopping.

I like this self worked net in gold and and the thread border with it. I also like the color combination which is pink and gold. Her hoops totally complement the saree.

Rating - 7/10

I am a fan of Black and Gold combination and thats exactly what Sabyasachi has given me with outfit. Red blouse adds to the heat of her look

I like the colors thats have used with multiple prints. The saree gets an X factor because of this random mix and match. I would love to experiment with this kind of an ensemble

INTERNATIONAL JEWELRY WEEK 2013

International Jewellery Week 2013 which was held in Delhi last week brought the who's who to the fashion event. The event was a huge success with models and actors walking down the ramp in the latest jewellery designs by the designers.

My favorite picks from this event are

The bridal set with necklace and rani haar looks perfect for a bride to be. The work has a very ethnic look and the stones add to the outfit of a woman.

Rating - 7/10

I love how chunk jewellery has made its way to the mainstream jewellery. The colored neck piece and the bracelet create a statement by itself. Though personally I feel this piece is getting over shadowed by the dress.

Rating - 8/10

I have totally loved this Jadau neck piece. The colors used will mostly complement every single attire and will flatter the body. I really like the colors used in this picture as well with beige and rust.
