INTERNATIONAL JEWELRY WEEK 2013

International Jewellery Week 2013 which was held in Delhi last week brought the who's who to the fashion event. The event was a huge success with models and actors walking down the ramp in the latest jewellery designs by the designers.

My favorite picks from this event are

The bridal set with necklace and rani haar looks perfect for a bride to be. The work has a very ethnic look and the stones add to the outfit of a woman.

Rating - 7/10

I love how chunk jewellery has made its way to the mainstream jewellery. The colored neck piece and the bracelet create a statement by itself. Though personally I feel this piece is getting over shadowed by the dress.

Rating - 8/10

I have totally loved this Jadau neck piece. The colors used will mostly complement every single attire and will flatter the body. I really like the colors used in this picture as well with beige and rust.

RITU KUMAR BRIDAL COLLECTION

Another of my favorites is Ritu Kumar, I love the way she uses the drapes and she makes the clothes look very royal at the same time wearable. She has made bridal wear more princess like and heavenly.

I love the bold use of colors in this lehanga and the best part being the two dupattas. Both of them add to the sophisticated look of this bridal piece. Also there seems hardly any room for jewelry which is a good thing.

This looks like a must buy for any woman who loves to flaunt herself. Bold colors and dense silver and golden thread work has added to the ensemble. For me it sweeps me off my feet.

Woow don't you feel so when you look at the brightness of this lehanga. The orange makes it look so bridal and ethnic with such a huge flair. Reminds me of all ghaghra songs I have heard

TOIFA 2013 - 1

Looking at the current trends in at the TOIFA 2013 and what the celebs wore for the Red carpet.

We see AbhiAish looking wonderful as ever on the red carpet. Abhishek endorses a blue sherwani kurta an Aishwarya also looks very Indian in her Anarkali avatar. I love the design and style of Aishwarya's dress but somehow i would have had her wearing a more bold color that would bright out the royalty of the work and her outfit would have made her certainly like the queen Jodha.

 Priyanka has a knack endorsing a bare back dress with no hitch and creating a style statement at the same time. I loved the black and gold combination of her dress and especially her earring which increased to her hot looks. Incidentally I always like the way Priyanka carries off her clothes with hardly ant difficulty.

In today's world when everyone is running after brands I have to give you girls some interesting style tips. All the girls want to be the Diva but trust me you can do it without being branded from head to toe.

I have a list of stuff that you should buy branded and the stuff that you can do without the branded stuff as well. We girls cannot even have a single accessory so therefore invest wisely so you can always listen to your heart and keep your purse healthy.

• Cosmetics

You should always buy branded cosmetics that touch your skin but you can always experiment with nail colors.

• Accessory

You can always invest in non branded pretty looking accessories like - earrings, bracelets, and anklets

• Bags

Invest in a branded bag but also buy matching non branded bags that you can use daily or you can match them with the haute dress you have that you will wear occasionally

• Clothes

With such a wide array of options to pick from, clothes is the biggest selling product among the womenfolk.

Clothes you can mix your wardrobe with the branded and non branded stuff because you will realize your regular everyday tops and kurtas do not have to have big labels you can buy them off the street. Kurtas especially you can choose from a wide array of dress materials available and choose your own color combination.

This is from me about the Branded v/s Non Branded but you should use your wit and jurisdiction to decide while investing
